Eldership of  Papilys

Papilys Eldership is located in the East of Biržai District. The eldership borders with Parovėja, Širvėna, Vabalninkas elderships, Kupiškis, Rokiškis districts and the Republic of Latvia. The administrative center of the eldership is Papilis town. There are 97 settlements in the eldership. The size of the territory: 250 km². 

In 2009 Biržai Eldership was divided into 6 smaller local elderships: Kučgalio, Kupreliškio, Kvetkų, Papilio, Satkūnų, Skrebiškių.

1. XVI c. Evangelical Reformed Church
2. XVIII c. Kvetkai St. John the Baptist Church
3. The castle site, called 'Zomkelis', is an archeological monument
4. Diliai the Sacred Heart Chapel
5. Mieleišiai St. Joseph and St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Chapel (Lithuanian poet, folklorist, war chaplain Adolfas Sabaliauskas-Žalia Rūta is buried here)
6. Memorial to the partisans and deportees of the Papilys region. Lithuanian partisan grave
