Commemoration monument to mark Lithuanian partisan battle and death place (heritage code 43043)

The monument marks 1945 September 17th battle between Lithuanian partisans and NKVD troups from Soviet Union. The battle took place in Biržai forest. Around 24 partisans were killed.

Gudiškis battle location of the January 1863 Uprising (heritage code 10486): Gudiškis battle place and Insurgents grave

The Gudiškis battles took place around 7th - 9th of May, 1863, in Biržai forest (near Medeikiai, Gudiškis, Šniurkiškiai villages). There were more than 2500 Lithuanian insurgents under the leadership of Z. Sierakauskas, B. Koliška and A. Mackevičius, against the army units of Russian Empire. The insurgents lost the Gudiškis battle, Z. Sierakauskas and B. Koliška were captured. 

The 1863 Insurgents grave contains the remains of A. Mackevičius (1828-1863), B. Koliška (1837-1863) and Z. Sierakauskas (1826-1863) insurgent groups. The exact number and names of those buried in this mass grave are unknown.

The Insurgents grave of the January 1863 Uprising / also known as the "Coal Hill" ("Anglių kalnas") (heritage code 10828) 

The location in Biržai forest marks one of the 1863 Uprising battles that took place in the 5th - 7th of May. The grave commemorates those who got killed in battle near Balzieriškis village.

In this grave lie the partisans of Biržai region - Vytis district, who died in year 1945 - 1953.

Memorial grave to partisans executed in 1945 - 1952 (heritage code 31903)

Erected on 7 September 2002, the memorial commemorates local young men executed by NKVD forces in Girelė Forest near the village Kupriai. Partisans evaded the mobilisation into the Soviet Army, opposed to the expulsion from home and the destruction and rebuilding of houses.

To mark the 100th anniversary of the Lithuanian Republic Restoration, memorial plaques commemorating 'Vytis Cross Cavalry' and volunteers who took part in the 1918-1920 Struggle for the Lithuanian Independence, were unveiled in the centers of five former Lithuanian Interwar Districts.

Memorial plaques were unveiled in Papilis, Vabalninkas, Nemunėlio Radviliškis, Pabiržė and Biržai.
